DISCLAIMER: YOU CAN GET SOFTLOCKED AT THE FINAL CHASE IN THE GAME. Despite the original intent, I recommend going slowly, avoid crashing at all cost, and only use the EMP as a last resort to avoid a softlock, since any enemy you kill with it will remain immune even if you reset the chase. In case you do get softlocked but want to see the ending without having to replay the whole game again, you can watch the full gameplay video.
There is little hope left for humanity. You are the last option we have. The bots will destroy life as we know it, unless you succeed.
You (and you co-pilot AI A.D.A.M.) take the control of Hades, a spaceship which has just suffered catastrophic damage to most of its systems, leaving you with little options for manouvering, seeing your surroundings and fighting back. Not to mention, that you will likely die, thanks to the amount of radiation your reactor is currently outputting.
But you have a mission to complete. By reaching an ancient machine, you may have a chance at stopping the rogue AI attack on humanity.

Thrusters - WASD + F
Your ship has seen better days, but these thrusters can still get this metal coffin moving.
Scanner - K
Your only way to see obstacles.
You have a limited amount of memory for your scans. Try to keep the memory optimized (by pressing J), as an emptier and fuller memory both increase the cost of each scan. As an added benefit, emptying your memory this way gives out a small EMP, which the machines really do not like.
EMP - H and J
Your only way to fight back.
The fuller your memory, the more energy you can discharge at once. Doing this fully wipes your memory.
Known issues
- Try to play in fullscreen mode on a resolution of 1920x1080. Other resolutions are not well tested, and will present unique UI issues.
- If you have too much speed at the ending, you might crash and the ending text will become nearly unreadable. I'm vewwy sowwy about that, tried to fix it literally last minute, but the "fixed version" now has no UI. So. Just try to hold F when the screen starts turning white.
- You can get softlocked in the ending chase scene, if you get surrounded. Incredibly sorry about that, the game behaved slightly differently in the editor, and none of my playtesters found this!
- Enemies you kill once in the final chase won't be able to get killed again - related to the softlock above, since getting surrounded by unkillable enemies, while you yourself cannot die is literally how the softlock happens.
